As my short film is set in a cinema the sound in the background will be off a film. I am going to choose the film divergent. This is because I believe it is a film that is perfect for the age group of my main characters. Also because it is not a typical 'girly' film so when the male doesn't turn up I can use the choice of film in my script. With my main character saying 'I didn't want to watch this film anyway' etc. So the dialog can drive the narrative. The audience will understand she is a girly girly through her props and dialog.

The main importance of the film is the voice over. This is non-diegetic sound. It will be the audience hearing Amy, the main character's, thoughts. These will be louder then the sound of the film as its more important to hear the voice over.
